8 Yard Builders Skip Questions
It needs more room than our smaller skips: 10ft1 long, 5ft7 wide and 4ft1 deep. Most driveways take one, but leave a clear approach for the lorry and check overhead for branches, cables and low gates. If you’re not sure, describe your spot to us on the phone and we’ll tell you straight.
For a full house clearance, yes. The 8-yard gives you around 80 bin bags’ worth of room. For a room or two, the 4-yard usually does it. Mattresses carry a £20 charge each, added when you book, and sofas go in free.
Ring us and we’ll collect the full skip and deliver a fresh one. If you can see halfway through that one won’t be enough, call early so we can line the swap up with your job.
Up to 14 days, included in the price. Most local firms give you 7, so with Tiger you get double the time to work at your own pace without paying more. If you need longer, ring us and we’ll arrange it.
No. The price you see covers delivery, collection and up to 14 days’ hire. A handful of special items carry a charge, agreed up front when you book: tyres £10 each, mattresses £20 each, fridges or freezers £100 each. Plasterboard costs nothing extra with us, and your skip sits on your own property, so there’s no permit fee either. Don’t overload the skip however, as that could incur additional cost.
Book at least 24 hours ahead and pick a weekday, because we deliver Monday to Friday. We won’t promise same-day miracles like some firms, but when we say we’re coming, we come. Book a day or two ahead and you’ll get the delivery day you want.
